It is our school policy that all children wear school uniform when attending school, or when participating in a school-organised event outside normal school hours. We provide a complete list of the items needed for school uniform in the Uniform Policy. Our policy on school uniform is based on the notion that school uniform:
· is practical and smart
· identifies the children with the school
· promotes a sense of pride in the school
· reduces ‘fashion competition’ between children
· makes children feel equal to their peers in terms of appearance
· Engenders a sense of community and belonging towards the school
Uniform is worn at the school and parents agree to support this when they accept a place. If a pupil is, for some reason, unable to wear the correct uniform on a particular day, a note of explanation is required.
Items of uniform can be purchased from the school supplier at: Kenzie Schoolware (formally the North London School Shop), located at Unit 27, The Market Hall, Wood Green Shopping City, N22 6YQ, opposite Iceland. Tel: 020 8889 6025
A tidy hairstyle is an essential part of the uniform. Hair should not be coloured, shaved nor cut into patterns.
