Close links with our parish means the children have the opportunity to celebrate masses throughout the year, both at school and in the parish. Start and end of terms, holy days of obligation and liturgies for Easter - all part of the liturgical year at SJV.
Fr Jerome led the school in a beautifully reflective service to start our new academic year (Our 50th!) at St. John Vianney. He talked about the opportunities this 'new beginning' gives us; a chance to become better, closer to God and to make the most of being a member of this community.
As part of this liturgy, the children refelct on how grateful they are to their parents and write them a heartfelt letter. A very beautiful and emotional moment.
During the pandemic and lockdowns, we continued to have strong links to our parish and we continued to celebrate mass with Fr. Joe and the team.
